Kyle Busch vs Robby Gordon

Well...this is not hard to figure out Kyle Busch all the way. The count down to NASCAR weekend has begun. After how well Kyle did this last weekend I can't wait to see what he pulls off in his home town. I think Matt is starting to come to the dark side of Kyle Busch. Matt said he doesn't think Robby Gordon could win a race even if he is the only one in it. LOL!!!
Kyle may be cocky but he has had a change this year. He has become very humble and I contribute this to his sponsors. Whatever it is I like the change. I will post pictures after race weekend is over.

NASCAR in the Desert

The sound of cheering fans and the roar of the engines are looming in the distance as the 2009 NASCAR race comes to the Las Vegas Speedway. With NASCAR coming to the desert our house is full of excitement. The past few years my dad has had to work the NASCAR event and to our benefit he gets a few special passes we can take advantage of and this year is no different. These passes ROCK!!! They get us access to many of the hot spots like the neon garage, the infield, winners circle and the ability to watch the race from many wonderful untold locations. My dad loves the ability to use our toy hauler and rhino over the weekend so he has a place to rest up before he has to work. The rhino even gets it own special pass that allows us to drive it wherever we want (driving the rhino around is one of Matt's favorite parts.)

Matt is like a kid in a candy store when NASCAR comes to town. He has the weekend already planned out for us. He even scored seat tickets for Saturday's race. I never thought I would like race cars or ever understand the fun of watching a car go around and around in a circle...but I do. I can't wait to see the drivers up close and personal.

To Matt who is a true Robby Gordon fan...yes that was sweet maneuvering he did on the grass. Maybe he needs to stick with off road racing and leave the pavement for my guy.

31 Will Be Great!

Thanks to some great friends my birthday was a lot of fun...dinner, bowling, Luv-its and don't forget a run in with the authorities what more can you ask for?!?!?! May husband came through and give me a new cell phone which I needed. My old one would overheat and turn off mid phone call. The kids with the cookie monster cake is something I will never forget either. 31 will be a wonderful year.

Now that the frosting and sugar is over it is time to focus. For those of you that don't know the past year and a half I have been focusing on my weight and getting healthy. I have lost over 60 pounds and feel great. The next challenge I have set for myself is participating in the SHAC triathlon in St. George Utah. The triathlon is a mini mini one for beginners so I will be doing a swim that is 8 lengths of the pool, 5 mile bike and 1.5 mile run. I am nervous but excited. It has been great for my kids to see me training. They ask to go bike riding and running with me (they get to go sometimes.) After SHAC who knows I will find something to help me keep the lbs off.

People have asked to see pictures so here are my before and after pictures (after as of right now there is still a lot more to come off). The first one was taken about 2 years ago and then one of me now.

WOW!!!!
It takes me back too, to see it side by side. It is amazing what getting off your butt and eatting right will do. I have to thank Renae (even though she does not know it) it was her who made me want to make the change. I wanted her to be proud of me when she told the kids that I was her mom at school. Where we live there are a lot of fit moms and dads and I realized I needed to be one of them. Not to fit in but to make sure I was around for Renae and Kyle. It is amazing what are kids will make us do.
I will keep you posted on SHAC it is not until April 18th.
31 will be great!!!!
