Where Have I Been

I can't believe it have been over a year since I posted on my blog. The question is where to start... Matt and I are still working for the City and are grateful for our jobs. Renae is now in 3rd grade and Kyle is in 1st.

Renae is growing up so fast and is becoming a wonderful young girl. She has her moments and can be moody but we get past it and she learns from her mood swings. She played soccer this year and LOVED it! We will be playing again next year. She got 3rd place in the science fair for the 3rd grade. I was very proud of her.

Kyle, my big guy, is getting bigger everyday. He is full of energy and loves his mom. He does call Matt and I monsters when he does not get his way but give him 2 minutes and we are the best again. Kyle is playing basketball this year and is learning that he has to pay attention or he will miss the ball.Matt and I are great. Besides work we are busy with the church. I still play the organ and am now Ward Camp Director. I love this calling. I am having so much fun planning this years Girls Camp. I think my two callings gives Matt the right to lay low for a little while as he just got released from scouts. I will be keeping him busy with Girls Camp.

We are so blessed as a family and I will try to do better this next year on my blogging.

Matt Riding in Mexico

Matt spent a week in Mexico riding the rhino around. The following is a YouTube link of his trip. It is a long video so you will need to give it time to buffer before you can play it.

The Lastest and Greatest

Since the last post we made it through Christmas as the best parents ever (the kids each got a DS and the family got a Wii), spent New Year's Eve with friends and on January 8th Matt and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary in San Francisco (thanks mom for watching the kids).

The kids are doing good in school and have more energy then we can handle at times. Work is work and every other week it seems like there is another budget cut. We are just grateful to have our jobs (we are both still working for the City). We are very blessed and thank the Lord each and everyday!!! There is no big news just normal everyday family issues that we all survive.
That was the lastest and the greatest on the Buckles.

Family Update

Due to the fact that Facebook has taken over my life, blogging was put to the side. Here is a quick update on what is going on with the Buckles...

In August Kyle started Kindergarten and Renae is now in 2nd grade. They both love it and are doing great. Here are a few pictures of the first day of school.

In November Renae hit a BIG birthday...8...she was Baptized and Confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was so heartwarming to see her get into the water with her father and then have her father put his hands on her head to give her the Holy Ghost.

Now Renae did have to put her own twist on her Baptism. She refused buy a white dress as her Baptism dress. She went with a black with white poka dots and hot pick bow dress. It was so her. She did wear her aunt Melanie's baptism dress to get baptized in and that was good with me.

That is about it for now. I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday Season!!!
